This might be the tiniest puppy in the world. Believe it or not, this tiny Yorkshire Terrier weighs only 170 grams, the same as a small potato!
Meet Belle, probably the smallest puppy in the world. Belle lives with her owner in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. She is too small that she can fit into a cup. She only has a height of 5 centimeters tall.
Belle is just seven weeks old. She is believed to be the tiniest puppy not just in the United Kingdom, but possibly in the whole world.
Her owner, Karenza Cruse named Belle after the famous Peter Pan character Tinker Bell due to the very obvious reason. Small and feisty character, Belle was the only one survived of out a little of four.
After Belle’s mother gave birth to her shortly after birth, she was immediately rejected by her mother. Her owner Karenza Cruse decided to hand-rear the small pooch.
Her owner said that Belle needs to be fed every two hours. There are times where Ms. Cruse would sleep on the sofa so that it would be much easier for her to get up and feed her every two hours.
“She sleeps in a playpen next to me”, Ms. Cruse added. She also mentioned that Belle actually started to wake her up when Belle wants to feed.
Ms.Cruse decided to take Belle to a vet specialist in Newmarket and it was then where they confirmed that Belle was the smallest pup they had ever seen of her age.
